Health and Well Being Expo

The Health and Well Being Expo will take place on 5th June. Children should now be working on background reasearch for the goods or service they are going to present. This can be something that is already available or they could make up their own. If they are still not sure of the requirements they should be asking me for guidance as I am only to happy to provide feedback and discuss their ideas. Young Leaders Day

On the 7th of March, the School Captains (Emma Perin, Keisan Bartholomeusz) and School Vice-Captains (Karley Dosen, Mihail Ilijevski) attended Young Leaders Day at Vodaphone Arena with Miss Larkens. The day was spent listening to guest speakers, which included Billy Brownless, Brooke Hanson, Arron Wood and Tim Cope. The speakers offered a lot of good advice about different types of leadership and all of them stressed the importance of leading by example.

Narana Excursion

On Monday 25th February, the students enjoyed an excursion to Narana Creations where they enjoyed various experiences such as a cultural talk, boomerang throwing and sampling bush food. Using the information gathered on the day, students will complete a Venn diagram that shows the similarities and differences between traditional Aboriginal culture and the their own culture.

Pako Festa 2008

On Saturday 23rd February a group of students represented the school at Pako Festa. The Marimba group played their way along Pakington St while other students walked behind handing out brochures to promote the school. We were very excited to hear that we were named ‘Best School Entry’ and a special thank-you must go to all the people who helped us to participate in the parade.
